Your right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal you must inform us by means of a clear statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email:

You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this page, but it is not obligatory. To meet the deadline it is enough that you send your notification before the period expires.

How a return works, step by step

1. Tell us within 14 days that you wish to withdraw, by email or with the form below.
2. We reply with the return instructions for your model. Models under 65 cm go back as a parcel. Models from 65 cm are pallet freight, so we book the collection for you, because a private customer cannot arrange it; the cost is still yours.
3. Pack the model in its original wooden crate with the original padding. These models are fragile, and damage caused by insufficient packaging reduces the refund.
4. Send the goods back within 14 days of telling us about your withdrawal.

Who pays for the return

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. Inside Germany that is roughly 12.90 EUR for a parcel and 119.90 EUR for a model that travels by forwarding agent. Returns from other countries cost more; we tell you the exact amount in writing before you send anything, so there is never a surprise.

Your refund

We repay all payments received from you, including the delivery costs (except for the additional costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery we offer), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your notice of withdrawal. We use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction and you are not charged any fee for that repayment. We may withhold the repayment until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied proof that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.

Reduction in value

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Looking at a model, taking it out of the crate and putting it on a table is fine.

When the right of withdrawal does not apply

Models built to your individual specification, for example a custom scale, a custom paint scheme or a personalised name plate, are excluded by law. Everything in our standard catalogue is covered by the right of withdrawal, even though each model is built to order.

Damage in transit is not a return case

If the model arrives damaged, do not send it back on your own account. Report the damage to the driver, note it on the delivery note and write to info@worldmodelships.com within 7 days. We settle it with the carrier and replace or repair the model at our cost.
